TABCOM LEADERSHIP DAY 2026

On Saturday, January 24, 2026, leaders from across the region gathered at the First Federated Church, 200 Central Street, Hudson, MA for TABCOM Leadership Day.

This was a powerful and Spirit-filled gathering, bringing together clergy and lay leaders from across Massachusetts for a day rooted in unity, truth-telling, and faithful action. Centered on the theme Building Bridges, the day created sacred space for honest and courageous conversations about the injustices unfolding in our nation—and the role of the Church in responding together with integrity, compassion, and hope.

From the opening moments, it was clear that this gathering was more than a conference; it was a call to real dialogue. Leaders from diverse cultural, racial, and ministry contexts engaged one another in meaningful conversation, recognizing that true bridge-building begins with listening deeply, speaking truthfully, and remaining open to transformation. These exchanges were marked by respect, vulnerability, and a shared commitment to embody Christ’s reconciling love in a divided world.

The day was anchored by a compelling keynote address from Dr. Virginia Ward, whose message challenged participants to move beyond surface-level unity toward deeper, more faithful engagement across cultures. Following her address, Dr. Ward led the group in facilitated conversation, inviting leaders to reflect together on what it truly means to build bridges across differences—within congregations, communities, and the wider body of Christ. Her leadership encouraged participants to hold space for hard truths while remaining grounded in grace and hope.

In the afternoon, participants took part in a series of thoughtful and practical workshops (Healthy Leaders, Generosity, TABCOM School of Ministry, and Pastoral Compensation) designed to equip leaders for the realities of ministry today.

As the day came to a close, there was a shared recognition that Building Bridges is not a one-day event, but an ongoing calling. The Leadership Day reminded participants that unity in Christ does not require uniformity; rather, it invites us to honor our differences while standing together on the foundation of Christ’s love.

We pray that leaders returned to their congregations encouraged, challenged, and renewed—committed to continuing the work of bridge-building through faithful dialogue, courageous leadership, and Spirit-led action.
