Rev. Dr. Mary Day Hamel was called to serve as TABCOM’s executive minister in August 2015. From 2012-2015, Mary served as Associate Executive Minister of Mid-American Baptist Churches, a region serving churches in Iowa and Minnesota. She has held two long-term pastorates, at the First Baptist Church in Fredericktown, Ohio and Memorial Baptist Church in Indianapolis.
She holds a Doctor of Ministry from Central Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Mary has taught and consulted in the area of church conflict. She is certified by FaithTrust Institute to provide training in Clergy Ethics and Boundaries, which she teaches regularly. Mary is an officer of the Regional Executive Minister’s Council of ABC/USA. In 2025, she was appointed to the Commission on Safeguarding for the Baptist World Alliance.
In her free time, Mary enjoys travel, photography, swimming, and scuba diving. She “collects” US National Parks and visits at least one each year. Mary has two adult children and a beautiful granddaughter.
ASSOCIATE EXECUTIVE MINISTER IN CHURCH RELATIONS

Rev. Bouthillette is focused on working with our associations in “search and call,” and providing resources around church renewal.
Ron is a native New Englander. He is a graduate of Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, where he serves as an Adjunct Professor in Practical Theology. Ron teaches courses in pastoral ministry, leadership and church revitalization. Ron specializes in Church Leadership and Revitalization. He has a passion for churches in New England, especially American Baptist Churches. Ron also has a passion for mentoring new pastors, many of whom are throughout New England and some as far as California. Ron has also been involved in training pastors in southern India.
Ron has pastored churches large and small for over 40 years. He brings this experience to all of his ministries – especially within the areas of church revitalization, churches in transition, leadership and in his mentoring ministry. He is also involved in church consulting with American Baptist Churches throughout the US. Ron is the Associate Executive Minister in Leadership in the American Baptist Churches of Vermont and New Hampshire. He is married to Cathy Bouthillette. They have two grown children and six grandchildren.

Jennifer works with donor and planned giving development, encouraging church mission giving, grant work, and more.
Jennifer brings a resume of rich experience in stewardship and development related work, as well as leadership in the local church and education.
Jennifer has graduate degrees from Syracuse University and Hartford Seminary (now Hartford International University for Religion and Peace), and received her undergraduate degree from Eastern University (PA). Both her father and grandfather served TABCOM churches as pastors, and she and her spouse selected a TABCOM congregation as their first home church when they were married.
Jennifer Sanborn has served American Baptist churches locally, regionally, and nationally–most recently as National Coordinator for Learning Initiatives in the Center for Continuous Learning with the American Baptist Home Mission Societies. This work brought together 25+ years in higher education and religious leadership, and cultivated her passion for how we connect our faith and our finances to together create a world where everyone has enough.

Oceanwood Director
Grotonwood, centrally located in the heart of New England in Groton, Mass., offers 29 sessions of summer camp for youth. Oceanwood is two hours north of Boston in Ocean Park, Maine, just south of Portland. Oceanwood offers 9 weeks of summer camp for youth, as well as many for adults with special needs
